About the Williams-Franklin Foundation (WFF):
The Williams-Franklin Foundation provides scholarships, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) nationwide. We are dedicated to advancing educational equity, empowering future leaders, and strengthening the HBCU community.
Position Overview:
The Administrative Intern will play a key support role across all areas of the Williams-Franklin Foundation’s operations. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual interested in nonprofit management, communications, or social impact. The intern will assist with day-to-day operations, event coordination, and the annual scholarship process—acting as an essential assistant to the entire foundation team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing meeting mock-ups, agendas, and follow-up summaries
- Serve as a meeting host and note-taker for foundation and committee meetings
- Contribute to monthly newsletters, announcements, and donor communications
- Support marketing and social media management, including content scheduling and engagement
- Help maintain and update contact databases and digital files
- Coordinate logistics and communication for the scholarship award process with new awardees
- Collaborate with staff and board members on special projects as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks independently
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
- Interest in education, philanthropy, or nonprofit administration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and ChatGPT
- Must be enrolled at an accredited Historically Black College or University

Compensation
This is a paid, part-time, remote internship that consists of a weekly check-in either in-person or digitally. The marketing and social media internship requires 10–15 hours per week and will provide a monthly stipend as compensation.
