Sydnee Haynes, expected class of 2024, is from Brandywine, Maryland. She is studying Bioengineering at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. In the summer of 2022, Sydnee interned with HBCUFirst leading a curriculum-based mentoring program. She has also conducted research in the field of microbiology at the Howard B. Owens Science Center and attended the Georgetown Medical Institute. On campus, Sydnee is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers, the Biomedical Engineering Society, and the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students. Upon graduating, Sydnee plans to become a lab technician for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
