Kelsey Schaffer, expected class of May 2027, is from Long Beach, California. She is studying Health Science at Spelman College. In the summer of 2024, she attended a dermatology training program in Chicago. She also studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico. She worked with doctors and medical students and obtained a First Responder certification. At Spelman College, she has also studied abroad in Italy and became a member of several clubs, such as the Health Careers Club and Spelman Society of Cosmetic Chemistry. Upon graduation, Kelsey plans to attend medical school. Her ultimate goal is to become a dermatologist specializing in skin and hair for people of color.
