Kandace Bryant, expected class of 2028, is from Flossmoor, Illinois. She is studying Health Science with a minor in Music at Spelman College. In the summer of 2025, Kandace is working as an RA and TA for Spelman’s Pre-Health Summer Program, taking two summer classes, and conducting research on computational chemistry with a focus on neuromelanin. She is preparing an abstract poster on glioblastoma multiforme to present at the Annual Cancer Symposium on July 23. She also anticipates having LASIK eye surgery and taking a family trip to Florida. At Spelman, she co-founded and serves as Secretary of the Tiny Tummy Trust, a nonprofit fighting childhood hunger. She has also served as an RA/TA, a member of Spelman Sisters of STEM, the Atlanta University Center Symphony Orchestra, and an undergraduate researcher at Morehouse School of Medicine. Upon graduation, Kandace plans to pursue an MD/PhD.
