Returning awardee Jada Mitchell, expected class of 2026, is from Lancaster, Texas. She is studying Computer Science at Clark Atlanta University. In summer 2025, she completed a Calculus III course to fulfill her minor in Mathematics. She also worked diligently to fundraise for her annual “Hotdogs for the Homeless” event, which she organizes each July. At Clark, Jada has served as Lead Intern for Seeds to STEM, where she educated African American and Hispanic youth on STEM fields. She also interned as a quality engineer at Hitachi Energy, working on process development and continuous improvement, and has volunteered through her own initiatives, tutoring elementary students and working with Meals on Wheels. Upon graduation, she aspires to work as a Software Engineer at Cisco.
