Elijah Rutland, expected class of 2021, hometown is Atlanta, Georgia. Elijah is currently a graphic design student in the School of Journalism and Graphic Communications at Florida A&M University, an institution ranked as one of the top colleges and universities for fostering social and economic opportunity. Elijah is the Founder and C.E.O. of Fix My Sole, a social-media based custom art business. He has experience in serving as a creative design assistant, cartoonist, and assistant VP of continuous improvement. As an entrepreneur, Elijah has been featured on Buzzfeed News and awarded the “Out of the Box Business” award for his custom art business. He is also highly involved in the community through serving as a keynote speaker at an MLK Rally. Elijah aspires to expand his business, further develop his craft, and increase his reach within his community and beyond.
