Returning awardee Destiny Lewis, expected class of 2026, is from Owings, Maryland. She is studying Chemistry at Bowie State University. In the summer of 2025, Destiny conducted undergraduate research on the Bowie State University campus and training for the upcoming cross-country season. During her time at Bowie State, she has served as a Bowie State University Green Ambassador, a member of the women’s track and field and cross-country teams, Secretary of the NAACP Youth Council, Director of Internal Affairs for the Calvert Association of Student Councils, and most recently as an intern at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Upon graduation, she plans to attend medical school.
