Chanae Davis, expected class of 2027, is from Elkton, Maryland. She is studying Chemistry at Howard University. In the summer of 2025, she is working as a research intern at the Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, Utah, gaining hands-on experience in cancer research and learning from leading scientists. This opportunity allows her to deepen her understanding of cancer biology while expanding her skills in a professional research setting. While at Howard, Chanae has maintained a 4.0 GPA and was selected for the Dean’s List for the 2023–2024 academic year. She has been actively involved in the Caribbean Student Association, the College of Arts and Sciences Honors Program, and was selected as a FOSSI STEM Scholar in recognition of her academic excellence and leadership potential. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue either a dual MD/PhD or an MD degree. Her ultimate goal is to become a physician-scientist, integrating clinical care with innovative research to address health disparities, particularly in underserved communities.
