Caleyah Brooks, expected class of 2027, is from Bunker Hill, West Virginia. She is studying Social Work at Morgan State University. During the summer of 2026, she balanced professional development, full-time work, and community service by mentoring local youth and volunteering at food pantries to support families experiencing food insecurity. At Morgan State, Caleyah is an active member of the National Council of Negro Women and the Social Work Club, where she facilitates workshops and supports initiatives for underserved communities. She will also serve as Chapter President of Phi Alpha and complete her senior social work internship during the upcoming academic year. Through her experiences as a youth mentor and caregiver for her grandfather during his terminal illness, Caleyah has strengthened her commitment to compassionate, person-centered care. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a Master of Social Work degree, become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and eventually open a private therapy practice serving youth in underserved communities.
