Khristina Cassanova, expected class of 2021, is originally from Montclair, New Jersey. She is studying Nutritional Science at Howard University. At Howard, Khristina is very involved as she is a member of the Epsilon Tau Sigma Honor Society and the President of The Ladies of Quad Social Club. She has served as a volunteer for Howard’s Alternative Spring Break Program and as treasurer for Breaking the Cycle, a community service based organization. Khristina is a research assistant at the W. Montague Cobb Research Lab where she assists with lab work related to cardiovascular disease among African Americans. She was a Summer International Health Fellow with the Foundation of International Medical Relief of Children in Perú. Upon graduation, Khristina will become a pediatrician and start a non-profit organization that is built for adolescents who do not have the resources to obtain a higher education in urban communities or low income areas.
