Lindsey Marie Uy, expected class of May 2025, is from Bowie, Maryland. She is studying Clinical Laboratory Science at Howard University. In the summer of 2024, she went home to the Philippines for the first time in 15 years. She was happy to spend time with her family, reconnect with her roots, and indulge in all the delicious food. At Howard University, she has completed 2 Summer Research Internships where she worked directly with genome editing technology, molecular mechanisms, and more technological advances in Clinical Laboratory facilities. She also received the Prince George County’s Excellence in Education Foundation award in 2021. Upon graduation, Lindsey plans to become a physician assistant (PA) and continue her journey as a genetics or biomedical researcher.
